Nina is the team’s Uneven Bars specialist and the Technician of the roster.
Story
Snapshot
Nina is the serious one: all business, dry-voiced, and openly impatient with chatter. Her intro line sets the tone: “I’m Nina. Not a summer camp alum, but a Skylark too. Can we stop the yapping and start actual work now?” She’s the team’s technical backbone, especially on bars, and tends to narrate stats (“Every beam routine they’ve ever performed scored above national average”).
Past
Her past is sparse. She was not at the summer camp that Lilly and Remy attended, she treats Skylarks history as sacred, and she quietly admits she “can’t remember the last time I had ice cream”. That last line points to a long stretch of self-denial and discipline.
Arc
Nina starts by judging Lilly as “just another careless, spoiled girl” and revises that opinion publicly by Chapter 4: “now I see why Coach Jade made you captain.” She thaws. She agrees to ice cream, offers Remy quiet wisdom (“the only person worth comparing to is yourself from yesterday”), and in Chapter 5 becomes the one who urges Lilly to escalate the Brielle problem to Coach Jade.
