Coach level farming

Editorial note: This is commentary by the wiki’s author, not official strategy. Numbers on this page (thresholds, costs, rewards) are pulled from the game data and are verified. Priorities, recommendations, and “do this / don’t do that” claims are the wiki’s opinion based on that data β€” not the developer’s.

Coach level (aka TeamXP level) is the master unlock gate. Outfits, moves, and some mission bonus conditions all key off it. The faster you climb, the faster the content catalog opens.

This page is the “what to actually play” companion to climb it efficiently.

The curve

The TeamXP curve is front-loaded then compounds:

Coach level Cumulative TeamXP Delta from previous
2 100 100
10 1,430 ~140 per level
50 ~22,000 ~500 per level
100 ~65,000 ~900 per level
200 ~230,000 ~1,600 per level

Early levels are cheap. Past Coach level 50, every level-up costs as much as your first ten combined.

Top TeamXP missions

The highest-TeamXP Gold rewards in the game are pulled directly into Rankings β†’ By TeamXP. Re-clear those missions on Gold whenever your coin and ticket budget allow.

What “replay” means

Most story Competition missions grant their top-tier rewards once, then drop to a reduced “replay” payout on subsequent clears. You cannot grind a tutorial mission for infinite TeamXP β€” the game re-tiers it. Practice missions and chapter milestones offer repeatable drops.

The real farm loop

The fastest Coach-level climb is actually:

  1. Chapter milestones β€” each chapter has 4 mid-chapter milestone rewards plus a final reward. These are one-time but large.
  2. Training drills at combo 5 β€” a 1.15Γ— combo multiplier stacks on the drill’s base reward.
  3. Replayable Practice missions β€” check the mission type on the missions index. Practice missions don’t run out.

Priority order once story chapters are cleared:

  1. Every unclaimed chapter milestone.
  2. Every Gold tier on Practice missions.
  3. Training drills with Balance + Flexibility drops (these match the most common mission bonus conditions).

Stop-and-audit checkpoints

Pause your TeamXP grind at Coach level 5, 10, 20, 35, 50. At each checkpoint a wave of new outfits and moves unlock β€” the catalog sitting on your screen at level 10 is not the same catalog you had at level 5. Audit your wardrobe and move pool before committing coin to upgrades.
