Spoiler rules

Spoiler rules tell the agent where your game’s spoiler line sits, so it can answer a late-game question without ruining it for a new player. The behavior your players see is on spoilers in public channels. This page is about setting the rule.

Setting the line

The spoiler line is a point of progression. Everything before it is answered in the clear. Anything past it gets blurred behind a Discord spoiler tag when it comes up.

Pick the unit that matches your game:

  • Chapters or acts for a story game. “Spoil nothing past Chapter 4.”
  • Arenas, worlds, or zones for a progression game. “Spoil nothing past World 10.”
  • A named milestone for anything else. “Spoil nothing past the first prestige.”

Set it in the dashboard under Spoilers. The agent applies it to every answer from then on.

Moving the line

The line isn’t fixed. Move it as your game and community change.

  • New content ships. Push the line forward to cover the new late-game.
  • A season ends. Yesterday’s twist is today’s common knowledge. Pull the line back so the agent stops blurring it.
  • Your community shifts. A server that’s mostly veterans may want a later line, or none.

Per-channel overrides

The line is global by default, but a channel can override it. A spoilers-allowed or veterans channel can turn gating off so the agent answers everything in the clear there, while your public channels keep the line. Set overrides on the channels and answer modes page.

Turning it off

If your game has nothing to spoil, or the whole server is fine with spoilers, turn gating off entirely. The agent then answers every question in the clear, with no blur.

When a spoiler question can’t be answered

If a player asks about content past the line in a channel where they can’t reveal spoilers, the agent holds back and the question shows up as an unmet question, labeled as spoiler-gated. That label is your cue to check whether the line still belongs where you put it.
