How players ask
There are three ways to get an answer out of the agent. You choose which ones are on in each channel, so the same server can have a quiet channel where players type /ask and a lively one where the agent jumps in on its own.
Mention it
A player types the agent’s name with an @ and asks. This works in any channel where the agent is active.

Highest early salary is Plastic Surgeon, about $180k a year, but it needs med school first. Want money fast and safe? Go pre-med.
Mentions are the most predictable mode: the agent replies only when it’s named, so it never surprises anyone. This is the mode most studios keep on everywhere.
Use /ask
The /ask slash command takes a question and answers right in the channel, where everyone can see it.
/ask which unit counters Saxton?
Drop a Bishop in front of Saxton to soak his volley, then push. His shots spread, so a single fat target trades up on mana.
Slash commands are good for busy channels. They keep the question tidy, they autocomplete, and they make it obvious to players that a bot is answering.
Let it answer on its own
In auto mode, the agent reads the channel and answers messages that look like questions about the game. Nobody has to mention it or run a command.

On the Vintage plane, push Income to about level 10 first, then pour into Engine to hit the next stage.
Auto mode is what makes the agent feel like a knowledgeable regular rather than a tool. It shines in a dedicated help or questions channel. It can be a lot in a general chat channel, so most studios turn it on only where players go to ask for help.
Choosing per channel
Each channel has its own setting: mention, /ask, auto, or any combination. You set this on the channels and answer modes page. A common setup:

Auto mode only ever fires on messages that read as game questions. It doesn’t reply to every message in a channel where it’s on.
