Your first week
The agent works out of the box, but the first week is when you tune it to your community. Here is what to do and what to watch.
Day one
- Announce it. Tell your players the agent is there and how to ask it. A pinned message in your help channel is enough. Point them at the three ways to ask a question.
- Watch the first answers. Keep an eye on the channel for the first hour or two. You’re checking that the voice fits and the answers land, not that they’re correct: the numbers come straight from your build.
- Set escalation. Make sure account and support questions have somewhere to go. See escalation.
Through the week
Open the dashboard once a day. Three things tell you it’s working.
- Question volume. Players are finding it and using it. A climb over the first few days is normal as word spreads.
- Unmet questions. The questions the agent couldn’t answer with confidence. A short list is healthy. A long one usually points at a topic worth a spoiler-rule change or a real gap to tell us about.
- Repeat topics. The same question asked many ways is a signal for your team, not just the agent. It’s often a sign of a confusing mechanic or a missing in-game explanation.
What to tune
Most studios adjust two things in week one.
- The persona. If the voice is a little off, refine it on the persona page. Small changes to tone go a long way.
- The channels. If the agent is too chatty in a general channel, switch that channel to mention or /ask only so it speaks only when asked.
When to reach out
If the agent is getting something wrong, or the unmet-question list is long and you can’t tell why, tell us. Use your shared Slack channel or email support@atcampfire.xyz. Flagging a specific bad answer is covered on flagging a wrong answer.
