Build Your First Team

Your first 6 creatures set the tone for everything that follows. Here’s how to build a team that carries you through early game.

Week One: The Starter Path

Days 1–2: Catch everything Capture your free starter (Platyputz or equivalent) plus 4–5 creatures from the first zone. Do not worry about tierβ€”catch one of each element type (Water, Fire, Earth, Electric) to ensure element balance. Any rarity works early game.

Days 3–4: First battles Build a 6-creature team: 1 of each element, plus 1 flexible slot for whatever rarity catches your eye. Test different positions (frontline, midline, backline) to see what works.

Days 5–7: First farm route Identify an easy battle you can win consistently. Farm it 5–10 times to accumulate coins and experience. Your creatures should hit level 3–5 by now.

Element Balance

Every team needs all four elements to counter diverse enemies. If you only catch Water types and face an Electric enemy, you lose the type advantage.

Your first team rule: One creature of each element, minimum. Add a 6th creature of whatever type is rarest in your early captures.

Role Distribution

A balanced team has offense, defense, and healing/support.

  • 1–2 Attackers β€” High damage, low durability. Frontline/midline roles.
  • 1 Defender (tank) β€” Soaks hits so others survive. Always frontline.
  • 1–2 Support β€” Heal, buff, or control enemies. Backline.

This is flexible. A 6-creature team might be 2 Attackers, 1 Tank, 2 Support, 1 Balanced hybrid. What matters is that you have all three roles, not their exact count.

Starter Creature Recommendations

Platyputz β€” Balanced starter, good for early game, solid evolution outcome (Wyvierno becomes a damage dealer).

Ninjump β€” Fast attacker, low durability, strong evolution (Bufonobi gains survivability). Good if you like speed.

Meowdame β€” Support/control, helps new players survive. Evolution is defensive.

Squeezel β€” Healer, keeps your team alive. Evolution improves healing output.

Blazeal β€” Pure attacker, reliable damage. Evolution makes it a late-game carry.

Pick your starter, catch 4 creatures of different elements, and build around roles. Done.

Your First Evolution

Once you accumulate evolution materials (after ~20 battles), evolve your starter or your favorite team member. Prioritize creatures you like playing with, not tier optimization.

The stat boost from evolution (~50% increase) carries you further than catching a new high-tier creature at level 1.
